The Story

In 1998 Mr. Sunil Raniwala established the company under the name of Al Matrooshi General Trading LLC, commonly known as AMGT. Story has it that operations were carried out single handedly from a home office in Dubai (UAE). In the year 2000, AMGT opened its first office in Dubai and in no time became a pioneer in supplying fabrics to clients worldwide.

The company is a family-owned enterprise managed by Mr. Raniwala and sons. In 2010, Mr. Yash Raniwala accompanied his father and together they opened operations in Keqiao (China). Ardent ambition and strong life philosophy took business to greater heights, making it a global success.

In 2012 the Bangladesh office was started, with the aim to maximize the market share in the region. AMGT grew its volumes rapidly as new customers were on-boarded and several nominations were received. Today AMGT is renowned name for sourcing a wide range of fabrics in both knits and woven.

In 2016, Yash Raniwala moved base to China to further strengthen the company’s sourcing. Understanding the importance of China as a global sourcing hub, he set out to deepen the company roots in the region. Today the China office has expanded its sourcing into a much wider range of fabrics and added on trims, accessories, and garments.

In 2019, Varun Raniwala joined the company. Based in Bangladesh, he is taking care of sales, customer acquisition and other operations in the region. Building on this success, the company opened a sales office in Vietnam with the goal to enlarge its customer base.

Furthermore, AMGT has a sister concern under the name of Color Culture Limited (CCL). Having control over the fabric, the company extended its operations into apparel sourcing. The vertical set up of sourcing fabrics and garments worked to a great advantage for the company bringing in rapid growth and success. With new offices in New York (USA) and Goa (India), AMGT and CCL have created a wide-spread network across the globe, making it a one-stop shop for end-to-end solutions in fabrics and apparels.
